(Sacramento, California) – ddi Imaging Center's Dr. David Hatcher, D.D.S.,M.Sc.,M.R.C.D.(c) and
Craig Dial, DRT envisioned a high quality digital dental imaging center and teamed up to make it a reality. Along with Camille Mayorga,
ddi (Diagnostic Digital Imaging) officially opened in January of 1995 at 1 Scripps Dr. in Sacramento, CA. They opened with an
Instrumentarium Pan/Ceph unit, an Imaging Sciences Comcat tomography unit, an Interex high frequency intraoral system, and a 35mm camera
for oral facial photography. They used a Gendex intraoral processor and a Konica medical processor for the processing of their films.
ddi included category 5 cables for predicted future use in digital x-ray technology and computer networking in their original lab
construction.
